Thrive Africa Initiative a South Sudan-based non-profit organization. The initiative was founded by humanitarian aid actors who are keen to contribute their quota to the stand against the rising poverty level in South Sudan. South Sudan is the country with the highest poverty rate at 82.30%, according to World Bank. In South Sudan, more than 80% of the population is poor. Having one meal a day or no meal. With the political instability caused by the prolonged civil war, the country is very prone to political instability that has forced populations to flee from their homes. According to UNHCR, South Sudan is a home to over 330,000 refugees and over 2 million internally displaced persons. This is why we have come to contrite our attention on impacting the rural population of the country.
At Thrive Africa Initiative, we believe in the possibility of a world of freedom and equality for all people. This reason is why we have created this initiative to ensure that our brothers and sisters in South Sudan and other developing countries are enabled to exercise their human rights and have good access to essential services, and income opportunities. We exist to bring sustainable change to the entire society and environs through the works of compassion and acts of service of providing shelter, education and other basic necessities to the less privileged people.
